As usual, my acquaintances from Bangkok, Mr. Ham will pick me from the airport and yesss, the nex thing u noe is lunch, I was starving!!!! One of the many reasons i've always enjoyed comin to Bangkok is the food and simply eating around, tryin different sorts of delicacies!!! :P Its so mouth waterin even juz bloggin about it, haha. Had lunch at this italian/european/thai fusion restaurant, the pizza was juz average, ok, in fact its sux, the mixed grill was so-so but the buttered baked oyster was not bad, will juz giv a rating of 2.5/5 solely for the sake of the oyster, haha.
After a heavy lunch, we head back to our usual lodgin of all time, CENTREPOINT at Petchburi. I will recommend this hotel for any kind of travelin purposes, either for work or for leisure, it is located at the so called "happenin" area of bangkok town, public transport and famous shoppin malls are juz nearby which are all easily accesible. Oh, if u're active like me, u will love the gym, it is so well equipped and facilitated, it juz feels like home here. After a workout, didnt realise the time difference btw KL and Bangkok, here, it is 1 hr slower compare to Msia time, was suppose to go dinner at 6.30pm, which is msia time 7.30, rush to the bathroom and took a quick bath.
Do i even hav to show u tis???
errr, a Giant Coke?? haha
Starving again for dinner after exercising, how could i miss out my fav steamboat in Bangkok!!! Headin towards Centrepoint, a grand shoppin mall (happen to be the same name with my hotel) which i would say Pavillion in KL is tooooo weak to be compared with. U hav to be here to believe me i suppose, (p.s - JIM THOMPSON is cheaper here!!!!)
Dinner at MK Restaurants is one of the most lookin forward chore for this trip. Being any steamboat fan, i would say the main point is the soup, if it doesnt even pass ur initial taste then forget it, the whole thing fails, the soup base in MK is refreshingly sweet (in chinese; xian tian, watever la, juz now pin yin).
Rmb this!!!!
I couldnt leave out their char siew and roasted duck of coz, one of the other highlights in MK, their dim sum are not too bad as well but not in the mood for them during the nite. Unlike most steamboat restaurants in KL (the 19.90++ all u can eat buffet steamboat), the seafood here are realli fresh. At the end of the day, I went bek to my hotel room a happy and satisfied food brat :P
